the
child
is
being
transported
to

from
the
centre.

is
compuls ory
that
all
parents
attend
parent’s
meetings
or
send
someone
to
attend
on
their
behalf.
Any
suggestions
to
improve
our
service
are
welcome.
Anything
you
notice
when
you
are
walking
in
or
out
of
the
UCKG
Institute

Ikhaya
Lezingelosi ,
or
anyt hing
your
child
might
say
at
home
that
bothers
you,
it
must
be
reported
immediately

the

1. The

at
07h00
in
the
morning
and
closes
at
precisely
17h00.
If
you
are
going
to
be
late
the
Centre
has
to
be
contacted
and
you
will
have
to
pay
a
fine
of
R5 -‐ 00
per
Child
every
5
minutes
you
are
late.
2. Please
make
sure
y our
child
is
at
the
centre
by
07:5 0,
as
it
is
very
disruptive
to
the
child -‐ minders /
teachers
as
well
as
the
children
when
they
are
interrupted.
It
can
also
be
upsetting
for
the
child
who
is
late,
as
the
others
are
already
settled.
3. Children
must
personally
be
handed
over
to
the
responsible
caregiver.
Any
special
instructions
are
to
be
written
in
the
record
book,
and
not
verbally
communicated.
There
are
too
many
distractions,
and
specific
instructions
will
be
forgotten
if
not
written
down.
4. Parent s
must
deliver
and
collect
their
child
personally
to
and
from
the
centre.
No
child
will
be
handed
over
to
any
unauthorised
person
except
with
a
letter
of
consent
from
the
parent /s.
Consent
can
also
be
emailed
of
SMS
to
Principal
cell
number.
No
child
will
be
handed
over
to
an
unfamiliar
person
through
telephonic
arrangements.
5. Parents
may
not
open
or
hold
the
gate
open
for
another
parent
that
he/she
does
not
know.
6. Parking
is
a
problem
especially
during
peak
times
–
please
do
not
linger
unnecessarily
when
d ropping
off
or
picking
up
your
child.
7. Parents
have
to
do
a
proper
arrangement
with
their
organized
transportation
in
order
for
them
not
to
leave
children
on
the
road
and/or
parking
bay.

only
be

Care
Centre
on
the

bottles,
etc.
must
be
clearly
labelled
d) Dummies

be
pinned
to
clothi ng
with
a
ribbon
e) Feeding
bottles
must
be
hygienic,
clean,
labelled
and
filled
L. Sickness
and
Medication
1. If
a
child
has
been
ill
during
the
night
or
has
contracted
an
infection
of
any
kind,
it
is
your
duty
to
notify
us.
If
your
child
is
not
attending
the
ce ntre
on
a
particular
day,
please

the

child
has
been
vomiting
or
has
had
a
runny
tummy,
he/she
may
not
return
to
school
for
24
hours.
3. Should
your
child
have
a
temperature
of
38°C
or
higher,
he/she
may
not
attend
the
centre
until
the
fever
has
broken.
Should
your
child
develop
a
temperature
of
38°C
during
the
day,
you
will
be
expected
to
collect
your
child.
4. Any
medication
is
to
be
written
down
in
the
Medicine
Journal.
Each
item
is
to
be
ma rked
clearly
with
the
child's
name,
and
medication
to
be
written
down

C. Admission
Criteria
The
learner
will
be
admitted
to
the
Centre
if
the
following
criteria
are
fulfilled:
1. The
learner
permanently
resides
in
the
fee der
area
or
the
parents
working
in
the
area.
2. The
learner’s
age
must
conform
to
accepted
norms
of
the
Centre.
3. The
parents
have
completed
the
registration/application
form
in
full
and
to
the
satisfaction
of
the
Principal.
4. The
child/children
shall
be
toilet
trained
and
capable
of
caring
for
their
needs,
except
in
an
emergency.
The
above
criteria
are
subject
to
the
Centre
having
capacity
to
accommodate
the
learner
taking
into
consideration
the
maximum
capacity
of
the
Centre.
D. The
Centre
is
an
English
Medium
School
1. In
addition
Non
South
African
Citizens/Foreign
Nationals,
who
apply
for
admission
to
the
Centre,
may
be
required
to
undergo
an
English
proficiency
test.
E. School
Fees
1. School
fees
should
be
paid
on/before
the
7 th
of
ever y
month
and
December
fees
by
the
2 nd .
Should
this
not
be
possible
you
can
make
arrangements
with
the
centre
concerning
the
payment.
(Final
report
will
be
handed
out
only
after
the
December
school
fee
is
settled.

classroom
or

A. Enrolment
Procedure
1. The
parents
and
learner
may
be
required
to
attend
an
interview
if
required
to
do
so
by
the
Princi pal.
2. Individual
interviews
take
place
with
parents
and
their
child.
3. Group
interviews
are
organised
for
siblings.
4. Staff
will
schedule
a
conference
and
provide
parents
with
a
resource
list
if
a
child
is
identified
as
having
special
needs,
i.e.
speech,
langua ge
comprehensive,
gross
motor,
behavioural
issues.
5. Subsequent
visits
are
welcome
by
appointment
made
at
the
reception.
6. Parents
have
the
right
to
inspect
our
Centre
B. Documents
Required
for
the
Admission
of
a
Learner
On
admission
to
the
Centre,
parents
or
gu ardians
are
required
to
fill
in
a
registration/
application
form.
This
asks
for
details
regarding
any
special
health
needs,
doctor
details,
medical
history
of
the
learner,
learning
barriers
and
whether
the
learner
is
toilet
trained.

parents
must

the
prescribed
registration/application
form
for
admission
of
a
learner.
2. An
enrolment
agreement
must
be
completed
for
each
individual
child.
3. The
registration/application
form
together
with
the
additional
documents
described
below
must
be
delive red
to
the
Centre
within
the
admission
dates
as
set
out
above.
4. When
a
parent
applies
for
the
admission
of
a
learner,
the
following
documents
must
accompany
the
registration/application

child’s
birth
certificate ;

an
applicant
not
be
in
possession
of
a
South
African
Birth

submit

new
Study
